NoOodle is made of 97% water & 3% soluble fiber also known as Glucomannan fiber. Glucomannan is a water-soluble dietary fiber. Derived from the roots of the Asian Konjac plant, Glucomannan boasts many health and wellness benefits.

  1. Zero calories— the glucomannan in NoOodle contributes no calories and when consumed as part of a meal reduces the net caloric content of the meal.  The calories come from what else one puts on the noodles.

Day 22 begins week number four on the NoOodle diet. My day started with a quick workout. I was listening to my i-pod on the eliptical and a song by Kris Allen came on called, “live like your dying,”. Kris was almost a winner on  American Idol a few years back, but not quite. His song has a great tune and great inspiring words you should check it out on I tunes. The song prompted me to write a post in my blog. I try to live everyday as if it was my last. Tomorrow is not promised to any of us so today is really all we have. That being said, I am very strategic person, I love plans! I also know that when I live the day like it is my last I embrace every minute and I am mindful of where I am at in that moment. Those are the best days for me… when I get to live like I am dying (-:

It is 4:48 am. Today I get to go to the factory where we make the NoOodle products and work on new recipes for the future. It is about a two hour drive to the factory from Chicago so hopefully the weather will co-operate for me. I am working on bringing the original recipes that I created in the refrigerated fresh meals that never made it into the marketplace due to the short shelf life. In this business when you are launching a brand new food company, shelf life is life. I will be  working these recipes into shelf stable meals in the tetra pac packaging. I love our new packaging because you can take it on the go with you and it is really the closest taste profiles that I have found to fresh. I will be working on three recipes all under 100 calories per serving. Mama Mia Marinara NoOodle, Ultra-lite Primevera NoOodle and Terri-yaki chicken NoOodle. Sound good? I hope they turn out great!

My diet is going okay because I am still on it. Last night my sister in law was in from out of town. There was red wine and chocolate flowing as it always does when she comes to visit. We ordered in asian food from a great take out place in Old town. Miraculously I kept to my diet. No wine, no Chocolate and no white rice for me. I stuck to Chicken with brocolli and seaweed salad, some peanuts and a bottle of water. It was okay but to be honest I would have rather had the wine, chocolate and shumai dumplings.

Everyday counts so make it great!
